Comments about Heavy-Duty Oscillating Bench Spindle Sander:

First I'd like to commend CPO on their procedures and customer service for handling returns. I recently purchased a Delta 31-483 oscillating spindle sander. Upon removing it from the shipping carton it was obvious that the unit was severely damaged; the lower metal housing was crushed on one side as if caused by excessive force from the top. As a result, the upper table was mis-aligned with the spindle axis, rendering the tool unusable. CPO was very efficient in accepting a return and offered me the choice of return payment or a replacement tool. I chose a replacement 31-483. The second unit arrived shortly after the first one was returned. Upon removing the the sander from the shipping carton it was again obvious that this unit had the same damage as the first. One might conclude at this point that the problem may not be in shipping and handling but perhaps in the manufacturing process. I chose not to order a third sander and CPO returned the payment. I suggested that CPO look into the issue with Delta.

Comments about Heavy-Duty Oscillating Bench Spindle Sander:

I use this machine for furniture making and guitar building in my small shop. I had to replace a similar size machine made by a competitor that broke and the parts are not available. I went with Delta because I have always had good luck getting replacement parts for their tools.
