Comments about Delta 12-1/2" Variable-Speed Midi Lathe:

It really needs a digital readout for speedcontrol.
It is heavy so make sure you have some grunt help to set it up on stand or whatever

The machine just purrs along with sufficient power to do most anything you wish.

Comments about Delta 12-1/2" Variable-Speed Midi Lathe:

My lathe was the older version but I only had it 4 years before the motor burned out. The Lathe had only been used for 4 years it sat in the back of a shop in the box for a bit longer. But it was a Delta It should be fine to buy Delta always stands by there products, so I thought. So I call to order a new motor None, they dont make them. And they leave me with a bad taste in my mouth not even willing to help me out. So much for the warranty, and standing behind your product. I will never buy another delta/ portercable product for my shop.
